Gears 5 has undergone other recent developments as well. For instance, the Batista Bomb move is now available in Gears 5. For the uninitiated, WWE star Dave Bautista was an unlockable character in the game’s multiplayer from September to October of 2019. Hence, the new update allows his character to perform his iconic WWE move.
On a general scale, the Gears of War series will be under new management following the exit of longtime series boss Rod Fergusson. Fergusson had been affiliated with the series since its inception, so it will be interesting to see where the series heads next.
In the meantime, Xbox One or PC owners unfamiliar with the series may consider giving it a go if they have compatible memberships. As one of 2019’s highlights, as well as a highlight for the series, it would be well worth any shooter fan’s try.
Gears 5 is currently available on Xbox One and PC.
